Master Sargent Cortez Driskell was born in Mansfield, Ohio on April 10, 1956 and departed from this life on Saturday November 27, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.During his journey of life, Cortez received his diploma in the graduating class of 1974 from Malabar High School, Mansfield, OH. Two weeks after graduation, he made a career with the Air Force branch of the United States Armed Forces. Where he learned/earned an AA degree in Accounting, Basic Military Training, Russian Language, USAF NOO phase 1 and disbursement Accounting Specialist.Cortez retired after 20 years of service as "Master Sargent". He earned/received the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal w/Bronze Oak Leaf, the AF commendation w/Bronze Oak Leaf, Good Conduct Medal and the AF Outstanding Unit Award.After retirement he was employed with USPS (United States Postal Service) retiring after 15 years of service.Master Sargent Cortez Driskell's religion was A.M.E. Method-ist Episcopalian.He was a true go getter, never afraid to speak his mind. When there's something to be done, he will get it done, on time and efficiently. He kept the mindset of a true militant, well organized, respectful, and well-mannered. Cortez's love for his wife, son, family, friends and our country were truly impeccable.He loved football and his favorite team was the Cleveland Browns.
