Dana Cooper

Dana Christine Cooper, our beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away December 8, 2017. Born in Oklahoma City, Dana attended numerous special education programs including Casady Pre-school, Dunbar Elementary, Andrew Johnson, IOL Disability Center, Wichita, KS and McCall's Chapel, Ada, OK. Dana entered her most special home, the Nova Centre/EARC in Edmond, OK in 1989. There she was safe, instructed in daily activities, and exceptionally cared for. We are humbled and truly appreciative of the staff's dedication and genuine love for her. She worked daily at the Trails Workshop, where she helped sort donations that supported the EARC thrift stores. Preceded in death by her dad, David Cooper, grandparents, Bue and Dan Cooper, Bill and Betty Causey, aunt, Shirley Cooper, and uncle, Bill Causey. She is survived by her mom, Cathey Cooper, brother, Matt Cooper and sister-in-law, Gemma of OKC; sister Erin Jerger and brother-in-law Eric, Newnan, GA; nieces and nephews, Keira and Will Cooper, Elle and Ethan Jerger; uncles/aunts, Dan and Nancy Cooper, Dick Cooper, Diane (Cooper) and Justin O'Connor, Mary Kay Boggs, and Marge Causey; fourteen first cousins and numerous friends. Dana was an angel among us. Her sweet and spunky spirit was contagious to those around her. Her smile and pretty blue eyes would light up every room she entered. She was greatly loved by her family and friends. She taught us patience, courage, compassion, grace, and to accept differences in others.
