Danny would have been 59 on Tuesday (Nov. 19). He died at OU Medical Center after battling lymphoma since May, 2019. Danny had a zest for life that was contagious. He would light every room with his infectious smile. Notorious for his great sense of humor, Danny was known by his nieces and nephews as their "favorite uncle". One of his specialties was the one-of-a-kind birthday cards he designed just for you on your special day. These were in addition to thoughtful gifts. Danny was loved by many and the memories he gave will last a lifetime. Danny was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, on Nov. 19, 1960. The Theisen family then moved and called Oklahoma City home beginning in 1964. He went to Christ the King Elementary and Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School, where he graduated in 1979. He worked in architecture for CH Guernsey & Company, Elliott+Associates Architects, JBHR Architects and GSB-Inc. Architects. He also enjoyed a stint in the business industry with Independent Vision, an artistic lamp company.Nothing made Danny happier than being with family and serving his community. In addition to being the favorite uncle, he loved volunteering for Whiz Kids, Rebuilding Together and organizations that provided meals for the homeless, especially during the holiday seasons. Through his profession, he was also active in the growth of Oklahoma City and the arts.
