Daniel Robert Lloyd was born on January 30, 1988 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, died unexpectedly and has returned into our Heavenly Father's Hands, October 17, 2013 at the young age of 25, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Daniel was the Son of Daniel Hatcher Lloyd, Jr. of Oklahoma City and Brenda Loren Romero Bishop of Whitebluff, Tennessee. Danny was an accomplished, award winning swimmer for many years with the Phoenix Elite Swim Team, as a member of the Phoenix Swim Club, played baseball and was an honor student in the gifted program in Phoenix, AZ. After high school at Santa Fe High School, he studied Information Technology for 2 years at Francis Tuttle Vo-Tech School in Oklahoma City. Throughout his young life Danny was devoted to the Catholic Church and donated numerous hours to charities of Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Church of Scottsdale and recent years, the Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, in Oklahoma City. His hobbies included playing the guitar, wood carving, most especially "Little Danny" loved attending auto races around the world with his Father, grandparents and his uncle's, Phil and Billy Lloyd. Danny had a loving, winning personality with an awesome spirit and had many friends in the Phoenix and the Oklahoma City area. Daniel is survived by his parents; 3 sisters - Vanessa Dunatov of Zagreb, Croatia; Samantha Bishop of Whitebluff, Tennessee; and Ana Kate Lloyd of Gainesville, Georgia; 3 brothers - twins Joshua Bishop, Jeremiah Bishop of Whitebluff and Andrew Limbaugh of Oklahoma City; grand parents Jarie Vaughan Lloyd of Brentwood, California, James and Ruth Sundwall of Winslow, Arizona and Gayla McCoy of Calumet, Oklahoma; aunts and uncles - Godmother, Charolyn Lloyd of Dallas, Texas, Phil Lloyd of Scottsdale, Billy Jack Lloyd of Phoenix, and Janet and Jim Sundwall, Jr. of Winslow, and Godfather Johnathan Jones of Brighton, Colorado. Daniel is so deeply missed by the many lives he touched. We walk in peace and take great solace knowing that he is surrounded in God's Great Love and those who preceded him in death, Grandfather, Daniel Hatcher Lloyd, Sr. of Oklahoma City; Great Grandmother and Great Grandfather Lena and Frank Romero of Winslow; Great Grandmother and Great Grandfather Elsie Mae Childers Lloyd and Robert Lloyd; Great Grandmother and Great Grandfather Eleanor and James Vaughan of Oklahoma City. An evening prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Smith & Kernke Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church.
