Darla Sands Partaine

Darla Jane Sands Partaine passed into the hands of the Lord on February 5th, 2019. She was born in Sherman, Texas on October 30th, 1928 and lived in Durant, Oklahoma until she was 22 years of age. At that time she moved to Oklahoma City with her husband and young daughter and resided there until her death. Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Lewis Frank "Pinky" Partaine; her parents, William Henry and Mary Muncie Sands; and her brother, Don William Sands. She is survived by her sister, Mary Evelyn (John) Patterson. She is also survived by three daughters, Mary Jane (Chuck) Schultz of Westlake, Texas, Leigh Ann (Rick) Smith of Edmond, Oklahoma and Nancy Partaine Simmons of Oklahoma City. Also surviving are five grandsons and one granddaughter, Charles Gregory Schultz of Omaha, Nebraska, Russell Lee Schultz of Chicago, Illinois, Mitchell Wayne Kern of Edmond, Oklahoma, Jonathan Evan Lankford of Huntsville, Alabama, Katy Alyson Holloway, and Samuel John Howeth both of Oklahoma City. Further survivors include four great granddaughters, Lauren Elizabeth Schultz and Isabelle Grace Schultz of Omaha, Nebraska and Lucille Mae Holloway and Eloise Jane Holloway of Oklahoma City. She will forever remain in the hearts of those of us who survive her. Jane was a founding member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and a longtime friend of Bill W. Jane will be interred at Memorial Park Cemetery at a private service. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Alzheimer's Association or the charity of your choice.
