Darlene J. Walker

Darlene J. Walker was born on December 13, 1933 and departed this world on September 3, 2012. She loved her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren and was terribly proud of them. Darlene was happiest when showing them off and talking about them to everyone she met. She was raised in Topeka, Kansas and moved to Oklahoma City when she was a young woman. Darlene worked as a waitress for many years and enjoyed serving her customers. She loved spending time with her friends and never met a stranger. When her family was young she volunteered as a Blue Bird leader, was a Cub Scout Den Mother, helped with Vacation Bible School and was very active in her children's lives. She is preceded in death by her brother Robert and her daughter Leta. Darlene is survived by her brother Vernon and sister-in-law Emmy, her daughter Vicki and son-in-law Jeff, her son Robert and daughter-in-law Eloisa, her grandchildren Janice, Susan, Patricia, Ryan, and Tabitha, and her great grandchildren Isabel and Christina.
