Darrell Wayne Barton, 73, was born January 29, 1942, in Crossett, Arkansas, and died April 15, 2015, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Semi-retired after working more than forty years as a photojournalist in broadcast news, he spent much of that time covering crime, revolutions and wars all over the world. He grew vegetables for the local farmers' market and enjoyed working on and driving his old trucks and old cars. Preceded in death by his parents, Jackson Alfred Barton and Jewel Agatha Armstrong, he is survived by his wife, Marilyn Barton; daughter, Carrie Barton, son in law, Omar Coutino, grandsons Nathaniel and Matthew; son, Jack Barton and his fiancee, Nadine Edwards. His family will hold private services.
