Darren Lee Baker

Darren Lee Baker was born in Oklahoma City on April 12, 1984 and left this world on July 14, 2015. Darren graduated from Edmond Santa Fe High School and went on to attend Oklahoma State University, receiving his BS in Chemical Engineering in 2009. He had worked in Oil Field Services for Halliburton. Darren was a happy young man who loved to read and enjoyed playing games, cooking and teasing his friends and family. He got great satisfaction from spending time with and mentoring his nephews and nieces. Darren was kind and soft hearted and loved animals. His smile and gentle demeanor will be missed. Darren is survived by his mother, Darice Ann Hall and stepfather, Fred C. Hall, of Edmond; father, Gary Don Baker and stepmother, Lori Baker, of Oklahoma City; brother, Jason Baker and sister, Kristine Crabb both of OKC; brother, Brian Cox of Yukon; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Smith & Kernke May Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home until 7 p.m. Friday.
