David C. Cooper

David Connor Cooper, our beloved husband, dad, granddad, and brother, passed away March 16, 2016. Born in Okla. City, David attended Christ the King, Bishop McGuinness, and OSU, receiving a BA in Business. He was partners with brothers Dan and Dick in Cooper Medical Buildings from 1967-2011, a faithful member of Christ the King Catholic Church, supporter of many Catholic organizations, ESCCO, Phi Kappa Theta, and EARC in Edmond. Tennis, golf, skiing, traveling, entertaining, enjoying family, grandchildren, friends-these were his passions. Preceded in death by parents Bue (Simpson) and Dan Cooper, sister-in-law Shirley Cooper and brother-in-law Bill Causey; survived by wife of 47 years, Cathey, daughter, Dana Cooper of Edmond, son Matt and daughter-in-law Gemma Cooper of OKC, daughter Erin and son-in-law Eric Jerger, Newnan, GA, grandchildren Elle and Ethan Jerger, Keira and Will Cooper, and brothers Dan and sister-in-law Nancy Cooper, brother Dick Cooper, sister Diane Timmerman, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. David was a gentleman, wise, patient, kind, respectful and was an example to all of how to live a meaningful life. He gave and left more than he ever took. His legacy remains in all the lives he touched. It is impossible to convey how much he will be missed. Visitation will be held from 9am to 5pm on both Friday, March 18th and Saturday, March 19th at the funeral home. A prayer service will be held at 3:30pm on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
