Deidra Gabriella Soemantri

Deidra Gabriella Soemantri was a shining beacon of joy leaving a trail of happiness wherever she went.

She was born on October 5, 2005 to Dadi Soemantri & Ervintha Soemantri in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Deidra has an older brother, Ethan Soemantri that she loves & adores so much.

She thrived in and graduated Deer Creek High School with Honors and as valedictorian. She was a pillar of the community, being a part of so many extracurriculars in school such as founding the Asian Cultural Club, and contributing to Track and Field, Black Cultural Club, Chess Club, Aviation club and the National Honors Society. She embarked on her collegiate journey by enrolling at Oklahoma State University where she touched the hearts of everyone she met on campus.

Those who were lucky enough to know her would all agree she had a uniquely beautiful soul. She lived courageously and heartily, enlightening the people she shared her many interests in such as: skateboarding, film, drawing, sociology, music, Spiderman, dance, and her creative expressions of life through her social media content. She was unrivaled in her humor and capacity for silliness. And she was known to drop everything in her life to help the people around her, driven by her empathetic soul that felt other's troubles deeply. She was sweet, gentle, and loving.

Although her passing leaves a heavy sorrow to her many loved ones, the deep impact of her supporting presence will always be cherished. Deidra is survived by her father Dadi Soemantri; mother Ervintha Soemantri; brother Ethan Soemantri; old brother-dog Dutch Soemantri; and many others in the family-tribe. May she rest in eternal peace.
