Dennie Ann Thompson, age 85, of Paris, IL, passed away May 8, 2014 in Mattoon, IL. She was born January 12, 1929 in Wewoka, OK to Lawrence Benson and Dennie Ellen (Webb) Thompson. Dennie graduated from Capitol Hill High School. She enjoyed living in many locations over the years, with Oklahoma City as her favorite. Through her life, she resided in CA, TX, France, OK, OR, IN and FL before locating in Paris, IL in 2007. Dennie loved sewing, crafts and making a beautiful home for friends and family to feel welcomed. September 1, 1950, she married William L. Thompson, who preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Webb Thompson; and son, William Mark Thompson. She is survived by two daughters, Beth A. Thompson and Teresa Lynn Fuqua and her husband Stuart Barclay Fuqua; grandson, Cameron Jay Totman; brother, Richard Warren Thompson; 2 nieces and 2 nephews as well as numerous lifelong friends. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Abbey Mausoleum Chapel at Rose Hill Burial Park with interment to follow.
