Donald Dean Williams

Donald Dean Williams passed away on Sept. 23, 2012. He was born on July 7, 1935 to B.E. and Cora Williams in Wichita Falls, TX. After attending Midwestern University and his service in the Army, Don entered the oil and gas industry as a junior salesman. His skills in sales became apparent quickly and he rose through the ranks. In 1974 he launched his own company, Don Williams Sales, Inc. and enjoyed many successful years as a leader among his peers in the oil field. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eugene French. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Glenda Vinzant Williams; daughter and son-in-law, Deana and Joe Ricks of Austin, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Stuart Wash of Yorktown, VA; and four grandchildren, Katie, Alex, Sam and John. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boys and Girls Club of Wichita Falls, TX (www.bgcwf.org) or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (www.omrf.org) . Memorial service will be held Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Smith & Kernke.
