Donald Francis Goyette, Jr., 65, died June 23, 2016 at his home surrounded by family.
He leaves his wife of 33 years, Sally (Schroeder) Goyette; and his children Donald Francis III & wife Jill; Jennifer; Danielle; Michael; David; as well as two granddaughters (Madison and Gracyn). He is preceded in death by his father and survived by his mother Caroline and four brothers (Dan, Dick, David, and Tommy), as well as many family members and close friends.
Born and raised in Detroit and later Milwaukee, he made his home in Oklahoma City and opened his first business there. He later pursued business opportunities in Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin, where he made his home for the past 25 years. After retiring, he returned to his wife's hometown of Oklahoma City, then later rejoined the business world in North Carolina with his brother David.
In his early years, he was a talented high school and college wrestler, and a starter and proud member of the team that won the Catholic Youth League football championship. Throughout his life, he was an avid sports fan and music lover. As a business owner, he was beloved by his employees and respected by his peers, receiving numerous awards and professional recognition, including serving as president of the dealer's advisory council for Neopost.
A memorial mass will be held for immediate family and friends at St. Eugene's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28th. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your preferred charity in his name.
