Donald W. Spear

Donald Wayne Spear, 70, of Oklahoma City, went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2014. Don was born in Hinton, OK on September 8, 1943, to Wayne S. and Josephine Stella Mae Carpi Spear. Don had a beautiful tenor voice and sang with the Journeymen and Sooner State Boys gospel quartets in his younger years. He retired from many years of service in Oklahoma state government. Don is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Jo Spear, and a son, Donnie Jr. He is survived by his devoted wife, Martha, of the home; daughter Lisa, husband Jason, and grandson Colton, of Edmond; sister Sherry and husband Charles of Meeker, and many extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Assemblies of God World Missions, c/o Spring Creek Assembly of God, 1600 E. 15th Street, Edmond, OK 73013
