Donella Ann Green went home to be with the Lord February 27th, 2024, five days after her 58th birthday. Donella was born February 22nd, 1966, in Broken Arrow to Don and Janice Partridge. She has one younger brother, Denton.
Donella was very involved in her church while growing up. She enjoyed playing the clarinet in the marching band at Broken Arrow High School. She graduated in 1984.
Donella received a degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma where she graduated in 1988. She began dating Randy Green in November of 1986 and they were married in May of 1989 in Oklahoma City, where they have resided since. Donella became a mother in 1994 with a son, Weston. She was doubly blessed in 1997 with a daughter, Erin. Her son married in 2018 and added a “bonus daughter,” Lanie.
Donella was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. She was an incredible homemaker, who took wonderful care of her family, husband and children. She was greatly involved in her children’s lives at their school and in their extracurricular activities. She also loved to serve at her church, North Church. You would often find her with a big smile and warm welcome at the Connections Area as she helped new attendees get plugged into the church. For a time, she volunteered as an office assistant there as well. She truly had a servant’s heart.
Donella loved, cared for, and celebrated the people in her life well. She never missed a birthday or chance to honor someone in special seasons of their life. She loved any opportunity to get her family and friends together to fellowship. Donella was compassionate and generous. She enjoyed giving and being involved in many various ministries throughout Oklahoma City and across the nation. She enjoyed gathering with friends once a month to play bunco. She also enjoyed many trips over the years with her family, traveling far and wide. Her favorite destination was always Maui, Hawaii.
Donella was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. She fought with incredible strength and endurance for five years. She is now completely healed, whole, and no longer in pain, rejoicing in the presence of her Savior.
The family wants to thank all the medical professionals involved in her care over the years. They also want to thank the countless family and friends who fought beside her and her family, joined in prayer, and brought encouragement throughout the journey. Donella was deeply loved by many, and she is greatly missed. Her family looks forward to one day reuniting with her in heaven!
We greatly appreciate floral arrangements; however, we would like to offer other avenues of support in Donella’s honor. You may donate to the following ministries:
