Donna Jean Morgret

Donna Jean (Peksa) Morgret, 70, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2015, in Oklahoma City. She was born on January 28, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio, to John and Molly Peksa. Donna's passions were family, friends, and travel. She was a teacher with the Oklahoma City Public School System. Donna received numerous grants and fellowships, including a Fulbright Summer Grant to study in Japan and a Goethe Institute Summer Grant to study in Germany. She also taught English Immersion classes sponsored by UNICEF in Poland. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, John, who died at birth. Donna is survived by her sisters, Diane and Denise; her husband, Jack; her daughter, Feran; her son, Caleb, his wife Marzena and her grandchildren, Cassie and Elias; her niece, Maya; and her nephew, Ari. Memorial gifts may be made to a charity of your choice. No flowers please. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm followed immediately by a Rosary on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Funeral services will be 2 pm Thursday. Both services will be at Smith and Kernke 14624 N. May Ave. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Toledo, OH.
