Doris Ann Jones

Doris died May 8, 2013 at her home of 52 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Rose Patocka, her husband and love of her life for 49 years, Marion L. Jones; brother Stanley Patocka, and grandson Brian Jones. She is survived by sons, Don Jones and wife Chelly; Gary Jones and wife Barbara; Rick Jones and wife Cindy; John Jones and wife Priscilla; daughter Deitra Roberts; brother Edward Patocka; sister Rosetta Felber; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends. Doris was a loving mother and wife who gave her time to anyone in need. She helped with Cub Scouts, Mobile Meals, and volunteered at her church. She cooked, cleaned house, did laundry and grocery shopping for others who were incapacitated. She worked for McDonalds for 18 years and loved the people she worked with and all the friendly customers. Doris enjoyed bowling, reading, puzzle books, collecting coins and McDonald memorabilia from the 70's and 80's, and was a loyal OU fan. She was born on a farm in Hennessey Okla and loved country life which is why she loved working in her yard and flower beds so much. She was a devout Catholic with an undying faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and looked forward to being reunited with her husband in heaven. But most of all she loved her family, she loved family get togethers, cooking large meals, and sharing time together. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be on Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm at Smith and Kernke Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 7 pm on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at the funeral home chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, May 13, 2013 at St. Eugene's Catholic Church, 2400 W. Hefner Rd. Burial will follow on Monday at 2 pm in Calvary Cemetery in Hennessey, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Eugene Mobile Meals, St. Vincent De Paul, or St. Eugene new church fund.
