Doris Jean 'Doris J. Christiansen' Christiansen

CHRISTIANSEN Doris Christiansen went to be with her Lord March 17, 2011. She was born April 23, 1926 in Oklahoma City to Fred and Nola Jennings. Doris graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City. She felt God's call on her life to fulltime ministry and attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago to pursue that goal. She continued her preparation for ministry by attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth. Doris married Leon Christiansen in 1951 to form a loving bond that would last almost 50 years. She was a dedicated mother who gave of herself to raise her two boys, Lance and Mark. Doris partnered with Leon "Chris" as a faithful pastor's wife in Baptist churches in Texas and Oklahoma for over 40 years. Doris was a member of Quail Springs Baptist Church. She enjoys a great reunion in heaven with family who went before her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leon Christiansen, sister Pauline Roark, brother Al Jennings, her twin brother who died in infancy, and granddaughter Julie Christiansen. She is survived by sons Lance and Mark Christiansen, daughter-in–law Victoria Christiansen, grandchildren David Christiansen, Matthew Christiansen, Daniel Christiansen, and great grandson Aiden Christiansen, as well as sisters-in-law Pat Jennings and Helen Christiansen.
