Dorothy E. Kraker

Dorothy E. Kraker was born on January 19, 1921 in Keifer, Oklahoma to Monsour and Saleema Kraker. She passed away April 9, 2014. Her family moved to Henryetta, Oklahoma in 1927 and later the family moved to Oklahoma City in 1936. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School and worked at Tinker Air Force Base. She then joined her sister, Kathryn and brother George in the family business, Krakers Men's and Women's Apparel. After George's death in 1961, Dorothy and Kathryn ran the business as co-owners until their retirement in 1976. Together they enjoyed traveling and OU football. Dorothy was a devoted and caring person to her family and her church, St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by nephews, Mark Tayar and wife Stacey, Joe Tayar and wife Gaylene, niece, Linda Kraker, great nephew, Ferris Tayar and great nieces, Kim Kremer and husband, Zeb, Danielle Robertson, Carley Tayar and Pebbles Nugent, and great, great-nieces, Abby, Hayven and Pazley. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 15000 N. May Ave. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Flowers That Do Not Wither fund at St. Elijah's
