Dorothy Domani, 90, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2015. Dorothy was born in Gary, IN and attended Lew Wallace High School, where she met the love of her life, Randolph Domani. After her graduation, World War II was still raging. Randolph had gone to fight for his country after he graduated the year before. Dorothy went to work for Bethlehem Steel to do her part in the war effort, and filled her extra time by writing Randolph letters every day. After the war, they finally had their time to wed and start a family. Randolph returned to run the family grocery store which soon branched out from Gary, IN to Chicago. Dorothy remained by his side; even in work she attended to the books and ordered for the stores. Theirs was a love of which stories are made, and remained that way for 64 years until Randolph passed away in 2014. They are now happily together again for eternity. They came to live in Edmond upon retirement in 1985. Dorothy joined the Delta Theta Chi sorority in which she was a lifetime member of the Oklahoma Zeta Chapter. She became an accomplished painter, but her true passion was cooking and baking for her family and friends. She was a compassionate, giving, loving woman who always seemed to put the needs of others before her own. Her eyes always seemed to have a mischievous gleam to them, which only added to her witty nature. She will be sorely missed by all that loved and knew her. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Lisa Henderson; son-in-law, Ryan Grappe'; granddaughter, Stacy Henderson; and grandsons Kyle and Jacob Grappe' all of Edmond; her brother, William Borgmeier of Merrillville, IN and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 7801 Northwest Expressway, OKC, OK at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.
