Dorothy Virginia Harroz fell asleep in the Lord on April 12, 2016. She was born on February 4, 1919 to Saied and Melia Samara in Oklahoma City where she grew up. In 1942 she married her love, Edward Harroz, Sr. and began a life that was her true calling, loving wife and mother to their children. Throughout Ed's career, "Dot" was his strongest supporter and advisor. Upon retirement they returned home to Oklahoma City where Dorothy was able to follow her true passions of cooking and entertaining family and friends. She was an active member of St. Elijah Orthodox Church where she delighted in working with Ladies Aid and the annual bake sale. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, and a brother and her beloved husband Ed. She is survived by her daughter, Diana Isbell (Glenn); her son Dr. Edward Harroz, Jr. (Susan); six loving grandchildren; and seven beloved great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother-in-law Dr. Joseph Harroz, Sr. (Mary Ann), devoted nieces and nephews and a host of friends. There will be a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Flowers That Do Not Wither Fund at St. Elijah.
