Dottie was born in Dallas, Texas on November 5, 1937. She was raised in south Texas where she earned her associates degree in Nursing and met and married Larry McKisson in March of 1959. They moved to Oklahoma in November of 1972. She continued her nursing career including Director of Nursing at Edmond Memorial Hospital. She then went on to Baptist to oncology where she retired after 47 years in the nursing field. Terri is the oldest of three children, Bobby the middle child and Jeff was the surprise. She was incredibly proud of her six grandchildren, Devin, Abby, Griffin, Kai, Lila and Cameron. Also an important part of her life were son-in-law, Tony; daughter-in-law, Sara and soon to be daughter-in-law, Meg. Dottie is also survived by younger sisters, Patty Beckman and her husband Jack and Peggy Hailey; nephews, Chris Beckman; Byron and Julie Hailey and their children, Matt and Elizabeth. Dottie started the Red Hatters Chapter at Deerfield and another at TouchMark where she had many friends. She loved to entertain, she was a master crafter as well as a special-order birthday cake maker. Dottie was a giver as well as a caregiver and will be remembered as one of the most selfless people you'd ever meet. She loved Jesus and also Elvis. No obstacle was too great for her to overcome. Services to honor and celebrate Dottie will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Edmond, Oklahoma.
