Douglas Keith Desherow

Doug Desherow passed away at Seven Rivers Hospital in Chrystal River, Florida at the age of 49. His brother Beau and his children Hanah and Eddie were by his side. Doug was known for his athletic accomplishments, his keen business sense. Doug had a very successful career with the registry and Renaissance Worldwide and related companies. He was particularly proud of his start up capability with subsidiaries and management of Renaissance's largest office. His career has stretched for over two decades. Doug also held a fierce love for his family. He was preceded in death by his infant son Jake Desherow; his brother, Edward Desherow, 32 years old. Doug is survived by his loving children, Hanah and Edward Desherow; his parents, Jim and Dorothy Desherow; his brother, Beau Desherow and wife Danielle; brother, Mike Desherow; his twin sister, Debbie Grant; sister, Victoria Davis and her husband Dave; the mother of his children, Joni Desherow. Doug was a good man and even better father to his children, Hanah and Eddie. His children share his strength of character and his love for fishing. He was a loving uncle to his numerous nephews and nieces to whom he was always there for. He graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in 1983. He was an All State Quarterback and all City Player of the year for the Bulldogs. Doug attended Tulsa University on a full scholarship from 1983-1987 where he received his degree. He was a standout football player for the Golden Hurricane's in '85 awarded First Team All M.V.C. in '86 Floyd Neil Martin Recipient and in '87 he was an Honorable Mention All American. Doug Desherow touched all who knew him. He was a leader on both the football field and in life. He was always there for a family member or friend in need. He will be greatly missed. An evening prayer service will be held 6:30 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Smith & Kernke Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond with Interment to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
