Dr. Stanley Kendall Rogers passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022, at the age of 87. He was born March 7, 1935, to Dr. Kendall and Mrs. Nelle Rogers (White). He grew up in Oklahoma City, attending Cleveland Elementary, Taft Junior High, Oklahoma Military Academy and graduated from Classen High School. After high school, he attended Westminster College where he pledged Phi Delta Theta and completed his undergraduate at Central State University. He was accepted to the Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following in his father's footsteps by obtaining his doctorate.While in school, a friend set him up on a blind date with Annelle Hauetter. Six months later Stan proposed. The two married on December 18th, 1960, at First Presbyterian Church in Topeka, Kansas. They lived in Tulsa while Stan completed his internship and Annelle began her career as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Two years later, the senior Dr. Rogers convinced his son to move back home and join him as a partner in his practice.Stan loved being a physician and practiced until April 2022, when he was no longer physically able. Outside of work Stan loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved to travel and play golf. After getting his pilot's license, he and Annelle often flew a Cessna to visit their favorite travel spots. He was actively involved in the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association and a member of the India Temple Shrine. He was a charter member of New Covenant Christian Church. He was an avid football fan; a lifelong Oklahoma Sooners season ticket holder and an owner of the Oklahoma City Plainsmen, a short-lived farm team for the Dallas Cowboys many years ago.He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kendall Elizabeth; his son, Jeffrey Allen. He is survived by his wife, Annelle; his daughter, Hayley; his granddaughter, Kaylyn and great-granddaughter Willow; his grandson, Eston and his wife Jaimie and great-granddaughter Aiden; and his beloved dog Boots.A viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday, November 30th at Smith and Kernke at 14624 N May Ave. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with family present from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at New Covenant Christian Church at 12000 N. Rockwell on December 1st at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oklahoma Osteopathic Scholarship Fund or New Covenant Christian Church.
