Drew Kirkland

Ephraim Andrew Kirkland, Jr., "Drew" passed away January 15, 2022, in Oklahoma City following a brief illness.Drew was born March 3, 1958, in Yakima, Washington, to Ephraim Sr., and Irma Kirkland. His work was his life. He was an automotive paint expert and won many awards for his custom automotive painting. Drew taught automotive painting at a Vo-Tech and was nominated "Teacher of the Year". Drew has worked the last 10 years for Sherwin-Williams and was transferred to Edmond three years ago from Joplin, Missouri. His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda; son, Brad Kirkland (Brandie); daughter, Melissa Franklin (Steve); sons, Ron Ray (Jennifer) and Don Ray (Janet); daughter, Wendy Clark (Steve); two sisters, Elizabeth Griner and Lelia Gilday 15 grandchildren, Wyatt, Colton, Isabella, Dalton, Dylan, Cameron, Kaitlyn, Bailey, Taylor, Bryan, Brady, Madison, Autumn, Tyler and Trinity; and 15 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be Friday, January 21, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at New Covenant United Methodist Church in Edmond. A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Ketchum Cemetery.
