Duane Hogsett

Hogsett, Duane Francis, age 89, completed his faith journey and passed away peacefully on December 21, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born in Beaver, OK on March 19, 1928 to Frank Hogsett and Helen Fern (Jacobs) Hogsett. Duane graduated from Pampa High in Pampa, TX in 1945. He graduated from Purdue University in 1949 with a degree in chemical engineering, and later earned a Master of Engineering from Oklahoma State University. Duane married Linda Cassini in 1948. They were married for 50 years and raised nine children, while living in various locations in Oklahoma, including Bartlesville, Tulsa and Oklahoma City. He worked for over 35 years with Cities Service Oil and Gas Co. Duane was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, and by his daughter, Marie. Duane later married Bernice Ducat and they enjoyed 17 years together. Duane is survived by Berni, and by his remaining children and their families. He took great pride in his 21 grandchildren and their families. Duane was known for his sharp wit, his positive and cheerful attitude, and his intense love for his family. Duane was a man of strong faith and integrity, and was an inspiration to many. He was a long time member of St. Eugene's Catholic Church.
