Edward Harold Moler, 92, of Oklahoma City went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 21, 2016. He died peacefully in his home surrounded by family, friends and his faithful dog, Dodger. Edward H. Moler was born in Oklahoma City to Rosemary Callahan Moler and Harold Stanley Moler. After graduating from Classen High School in 1941, he entered the University of Oklahoma, after an interruption of several years for service in the USAAF from 1943 - 1945 during World War II as a pilot of a B-24 Liberator; he graduated with a BA degree in 1947 and an LLB degree in 1948. Ed was engaged in the private practice of law from 1948 until 2008. From 1952 until 1959 he was an Assistant Municipal Counselor for The City of Oklahoma City. He was appointed Municipal Counselor in 1959, and held that position until he reentered private practice in 1961. Ed practiced law as a partner in the law firm of Barefoot, Moler & Claro for many years, and after working with several partners over the years he practiced independently. From 1973 to 2006 Ed was the attorney for The City of Nichols Hills. Ed's other primary client during that time was Dolese Bros. Co. He also had several private clients until he fully retired in 2008. Ed joined Rotary Club 29 in 1960 with the classification "Municipal Government – Law". After his resignation as Municipal Counselor, he was transferred to the classification "Municipal Law Practice" which he held until he became a senior active member. Ed served as President of the Oklahoma County Bar Association in 1968. He was honored in 2008 as the longest running member with 60 years of service for the Oklahoma County Bar Association. He was also a member of the Oklahoma and American Bar Associations. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta society fraternity and Phi Delta Phi international legal fraternity, and he is a biographee in the 38th Edition of Who's Who in America. Ed provided legal work for many entities in Oklahoma City including Quail Creek Golf and Country Club, the Greens Country Club and Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. Ed served as a trustee of the Oklahoma City Municipal Improvement Authority and as a member of the Board of Directors of Legal Aid Society, Variety Health Center, Mummers Theatre, Inc., YMCA of Oklahoma City and many other charitable organizations. Ed, along with his wife Donna, was a long time, devout member of All Soul's Episcopal Church where he volunteered in a variety of capacities. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Donna Cram Moler; his brother John Moler of Oklahoma City; his children, Rick Moler of Nashville, Shelley Moler of Nashville, and Chris Moler & wife Kim, and their children Christian and Carson of Oklahoma City; his brother-in-law Jack Cram & wife Janet; nieces Carey, Carol & Marianne. Memorial services will be held at All Souls' Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City at 3:00pm on Friday April 1, 2016. Interment will immediately follow at the All Soul's sanctuary along with a reception in the Great Hall.
