Edward Norman Engebretson passed away on April 12, 2018 at the age of 86. He was born in Lyon County, Minnesota on April 12, 1932 to parents Edward & Johanna Engebretsen, the youngest of six children. He was lovingly known as Eddie. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. In 1956, he moved to Oklahoma City where he was employed by The Oklahoma Publishing Co. as a printer, retiring after 35 years. Eddie was an accomplished wood worker and had a passion for classic cars. He won numerous trophies showing his beloved 1955 Chevy. He is survived by his son Gary and wife Jane, of Plano, TX. Granddaughter Amber Hasbrook and husband Clayton, of Edmond, OK. Grandson Tyler Engebretson, and wife Ashley, of Dallas, TX. Great Grandchildren, Davis, Kellen and Carson Hasbrook and Emma Engebretson. Additionally, he is survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded in death by his wife Lyn, parents and siblings John, Kenneth, Emily, Myrtle and Irene , as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family, and his country very much and tried to show his love as often as he could. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a member of St. Vincent de Paul. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul, in care of St. Francis Church, 1901 N.W. 18th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73106.
