Eleanor Pauline Kautz Plater of Oklahoma City passed on August 31, 2013 at age 95. She was born on the farm outside Wishek, North Dakota on August 20, 1918. She met D. Frank Plater in 1942 in Minnesota. She moved to California during WWII, worked at Lockheed making P-38s and maintained a home for an interred Japanese family. She married D. Frank Plater in 1946 and moved to Oklahoma City where they had four children. She was a member of the First Christian Church then Crown Heights Christian Church. She was an avid bridge player and active traveler. She is survived by her four children, D. Frank Jr. (Kathy), Fredrick O., Steven L. (Pam) and Paula F. Her grandchildren are Sarah, Matthew, Rachael Metzler (Adam) and Lindsey Eggenberg and step-grandchildren are Brian Edwards (Ellen), Corey Edwards (Shannon) and Shanda King (Matt Davis). Great-grandchildren are Madelyn and James Metzler and Aria Eggenberg and step-great-grandchildren are Jordan, Jacob, Abigail Edwards and Kaleigh and David Edwards.
