Elizabeth Ann Wemott

Elizabeth A. WeMott, daughter of Walter Lee WeMott, Sr. and Mary Josephine Cook WeMott, left us on June 29, 2013 at the age of 83. She was surrounded by her friends. Liz graduated from the University of Oklahoma. She retired from Sun Oil Company after twenty nine years in 1988. She next retired from the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Liz loved life and will be missed by many friends. Liz was an animal lover and will be missed by her cat, Sammy Sue plus many neighborhood cats that she fed daily. Elizabeth is survived by her brother, Walter Lee WeMott, Jr. and wife, Nadene; two nieces, Jana (Mike Brown), and Laurie D. Reed, as well as two grandnieces and one great grandnephew. Viewing will be Tuesday, July 2nd, at Smith & Kernke from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with interment in Butler, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the American Lung Association or to an animal rescue organization of your choice.
