Ella Eloise Schrempp passed away Friday, December 17, 2021, in Oklahoma City at the great age of 99. She was born in Norman, Oklahoma, one of seven children, to August Benjamin (Pops) Floyd and Ella Polk Floyd. She moved briefly to Washington DC during WWII, and worked at the Pentagon where she met the love of her life of 70 years of marriage, Fred Schrempp, before returning Oklahoma. She graduated from Central State University (UCO), and worked as a homemaker combined with many years as the librarian at St. Eugene Catholic School where they were founding members of the parish. She was actively involved in numerous church guilds and ecumenical endeavors. She was a talented artist showing her art at numerous art exhibits and festivals. "Sweet Eloise" was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, beloved daughter Barby Steelman, and daughter-in-law Shannon Schrempp. She is survived by her children, Ann Gasper, Peggy Coe, Tom Schrempp, Jim Schrempp, and Greg Schrempp, along with their spouses and significant others. Eloise was affectionately known as "Oma" to her 9 Grandchildren, and 13 Great Grandchildren. Eloise and Fred loved to golf and travel, and went to many memorable destinations including annual return trips to their favorite destination of Hawaii. She was dearly loved by her family, friends, relatives, students, and loved ones, and will be greatly missed by all! Viewing and visitation will be from 5pm – 7pm on Tuesday, December 28th at Smith Kernke in North OKC. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30am on Wednesday, December 29th at St. Eugene Catholic Church.
