Eloise G. Stammer

Eloise Stammer was blessed from the day of her birth on February 1, 1921 in Holdenville, Oklahoma as the only child of her loving parents Lewis and Hazel Meadors. Eloise was so very thankful regarding the special relationship that she enjoyed with her parents throughout their lives together. Eloise and her parents moved to Oklahoma City in the 1930's where she grew up and graduated from Classen High School and briefly attended Oklahoma State University. Prior to World War II, Eloise met and married the love of her life William "Bill" Stammer and they were stationed at Langley Field, Virginia until his honorable discharge from the United States Army. Eloise and Bill moved back to Oklahoma City to be with their families and start a family of their own. Soon Eloise became the mother of two daughters, Carol and Sally and eventually the grandmother of six and the great-grandmother of eight children. Eloise was fortunate to spend a tremendous amount of quality time with her children and grandchildren over the years as they affectionately knew her as "Mommo". Over the years, Eloise enjoyed dancing with her husband Bill at every opportunity during their 67 year marriage and she generously gave her time as a volunteer nurse at Oklahoma City hospitals. Eloise and Bill especially loved attending St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City and membership in various Sunday school classes throughout the years. Eloise is survived by her daughter Carol Man and her husband Michael of Oklahoma City and Sally Atkinson and her husband Jim of Owasso, Oklahoma as well as numerous beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband Bill in 2006 and her grandson Spencer in 1991. Her dreams of spending eternity with her husband in heaven with her Savior Jesus Christ and her Heavenly Father have now been realized. Rest in peace.
