"Lois, you look as beautiful as the day we were married. I have waited for you for so long." "Walt, you never left my heart as I will never leave those I have left behind." Eloise Jones was born at home near Mountain View, Oklahoma in 1923 to William Edgar Jones and Susie Sloan. Lois, or "Baba" as she is known to her grandchildren & great-grandchildren, was preceded in death by eleven siblings and her husband, Walter Bullinger. As the daughter of a sharecropper, she learned the importance of hard work and family. She had fond memories of her childhood, including waking in the 4 o'clock hour to collect chicken eggs, riding horses, working the fields, driving a truck to market at the age of 12, bobbing for apples and attending a one room school house and church. Baba and her siblings walked over a mile one way to school. Weather permitting, they rode horses, but if it was too cold for the animals, they wrapped their feet in burlap bags before heading off into the snow. In 1941, she passed the civil service test and was assigned as a stenographer for transcribing code for the Lend Lease Program in Washington DC. While living in DC, she met and eventually married Walter Bullinger. Walt was sent overseas to fight in WWII, prompting Lois to move back home to Mountain View, where she gave birth to Gloria, their pride and joy. Lois was one of the founding parishioners of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Oklahoma City, helping with its construction during the sweltering summer heat of the 1950's. Baba's memory was amazing and her work ethic was unsurpassed. She was a fiercely independent woman, a direct communicator, a wonderful cook, a believer in living simply without excess, and was a loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Baba is survived by her "sweet" daughter, Gloria Lepak, Grandsons, Vince Lepak (wife Mary), Page Lepak, Jason Lepak (wife Laura), and Brannon Lepak, Great Grandchildren, Dylan, Sophia, Chloe, Magnus, and Roman, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Thank you to all of her caregivers and special friends, including Mary Neff. Baba your faith was strong, the gates of Heaven welcome you with open arms. "Think of me often when I am gone, but always remember my love still abides." Baba, we will always keep your love and our memories of you in our hearts. We are grateful for the 95 years you had on this earth and our hearts are warmed by your reunion with your parents, brothers, sisters, husband, and other loved ones. We love you Baba!
