Elverta Grace Burns

Elverta Grace Burns, fondly known as Gigi, was loved by all. She began her life on February 8th, 1928, in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to parents Elvert Ray Hills and Lena Grace Campbell. Her siblings included brothers Marshal Foch Hills, Walden Elvert Hills or "Bud", and a sister Arlene Hills O'Neill. In her later years she enjoyed reminiscing about her friends and family in Cheyenne and often mentioning her Bulldog "Shorty" and how beautiful her fathers fruit trees were. On May 20th, 1944, Elverta married the love of her life Bobby J. Burns. Bob and Elverta traveled, loved, and laughed often-spending 72 years together as husband and wife. She had one daughter Lisa Kathryn Burns, born June 6th, 1959, whom she loved deeply. Elverta loved to be outside working in the yard or playing golf and could be frequently found in the kitchen. A charming and charismatic person, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and lit up any room she was in. She loved her family more than anything and will be greatly missed by many. She is survived by her Grandson, Brice Heinen, his wife Lauren Heinen, Great Granddaughter Kathryn, and many nieces and nephews and their families.
