Eudeana Tony Blankenship Newcomb was welcomed to Heaven to be with the Lord on February 1, 2019. Eudeana had a great desire to live a full 100 years of life, and did so with amazing grace and gratitude. On a beautiful spring day with apple blossoms in full bloom, Eudeana was born on April 26,1918 in Ada, Oklahoma to George Tony and Daisy Dean Blankenship. They soon moved to Oklahoma City where Eudeana graduated from Classen High School in 1936. On November 27, 1940, she and Howard B. Newcomb were married at Wesley United Methodist Church in OKC and began their newlywed life in city of New Orleans. During World War II the young family moved to Washington, DC, and ultimately back to Oklahoma City. While dedicated to raising their eleven children, Eudeana simultaneously attained her Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University in 1972. Eudeana was passionately involved in her children's school activities. She served as PTA president and actively participated with the OKC School Board. She was a member of Double Talk Twin Club and remained close to many of the members throughout her life. As Treasurer and later President of the Iota Tau Tau Legal Sorority, Eudeana helped raise funds for female law students' scholarships and the Oklahoma City University legal library. She was an avid OU Football Fan and rarely missed a game. Later in life Eudeana travelled extensively visiting friends and family. In the early '80's she opened a gift shop called The Singapura which she named after her many trips to Singapore. She later renamed it Eudeana's Gifts. Eudeana was loved by all and will be sorely missed. Eudeana was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard, and two of her sons, Tony Newcomb and Ralph Newcomb.
