It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Ezzat George Eid, of Broken Arrow, OK on Thursday June 17, at the age of 90 years. He was born to George Nemr Eid and Blanche DeBakey on Feb 5, 1931, in Jdeidet Marjeyoun, Lebanon. He immigrated to the United States in 1963 bringing the riches of his culture to America. He embraced America with pride and was eager to learn a new language and culture. Optimism, self-reliance, and hard work made him a successful entrepreneur who was able to provide a wonderful life for his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of over 47 years Georgette "JouJou"; children: George Eid (Michelle), Dr. Rola Eid (Duane Gilbert), and Shadee Eid; grandchildren: Brennan, Creston, Amira, Zane, Cruz, Breznic, Sabrina, and Audrey; great-grandchildren: Briella and Brinleigh; siblings: Aziza (widow of Nassar Gholmieh), Afaf (widow of Raymond Gebara), Margo (John Daniel), Najate (widow of George Mondalek), Salam Eid, Sonia Eid, Imad Eid (Dolas), as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, George Nemr Eid and Blanche DeBakey Eid.Visitation will be Monday June 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family members present to greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Smith & Kernke N. May Funeral Home.The Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church with burial to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Flowers that Do Not Wither Fund through either St. Elijah or St. Antony Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church of Tulsa.
