Flo Mae Benard

Flo Maedene Benard was born on August 23, 1940 in Okemah, Oklahoma. Flo passed peacefully with her loving children beside her on October 13, 2017. She was a Christian, loving mother of nine children, a grandmother, great grandmother and a sister to many siblings. She lived a long, full life surrounded by loving family and life-long friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert Lee Benard and her daughter, Pamela Sue Wilmuth. She is survived by her children, Deborah Gorman, Byron Keith Benard, William Douglas Benard, Patricia Benard-Walls, Gregory Todd Benard, George Benard, Rolynda Gibson-Bailey and Christine Myers. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jessica, Mitchell, Jeremy, Robbie, Misty, Trevor, Brandon, Ashley, Danielle, Cameron, Zachary, Tristan, Greyson, Kaden, Lilly, Patrick, Avery, Taylor, Logan, Michael Todd, Loren, Joshua, Justin, Sierra, Anthony, Nathan, Chris, Benjamin, Israel, David, Daniel, Lacie, Dallas, and Logan and also her 10 great grandchildren. Our mother was the "mother" to so many more children than listed above and always welcomed, and nurtured all with open arms. Mother instilled many traditions that will continue to carry on, such as, Saturday night hamburger night at the Benard's house! Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday, October 16, 2017 at Smith & Kernke. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the funeral home.
