Frances Trueblood, 101, passed away February 5, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida where she had moved to be closer to family. She was born in El Reno, Oklahoma to Frank Selby and Tillie (Oakland) Gibson. Frances graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City and then attended Business College. While working for Mr. Braniff of Braniff Airways, Frances met Elmer Trueblood, the love of her life! They married in 1936 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in downtown Oklahoma City where they were members. Frances was one of the founding members of Christ the King Catholic Church and was always baking her signature cakes for fund raisers. Her children would often ask, is the cake for the church or us?! She belonged to the Mimosa Garden Club, the Lady's Guild, the Helper's club and also enjoyed playing Mah-jong with the same group of ladies for 30 years. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; her grandson, Tim Carver and two daughters, Patty Lutz and Susie Rollison. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Frances Carver; grandson, Michael Carver and his wife Holly and children, Sloan and Lawson; grandson, Fred Lutz and his wife Lisa and their children, Sophi and Parker; grandson, Charles Lutz III and children, Courtenay and Carder; grandsons, Earl Lee and Mark Rollison; Sons-in-law, Charles Lutz and Earl Rollison. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Christ the King Catholic church with interment to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. Donations may be made to Community Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation 4266 Sunbeam Road Bldg. 100, Jacksonville, FL 32257 or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
