Francis J. Kosciuk, 93 of Oklahoma City met his heavenly father on July 28, 2010. He was born November 18, 1916. The oldest son of four children of the late Frank P. and Martha Slatalla Kosciuk of Green Bay, Wisconsin which included one brother and two sisters. His wife Geraldine L. Kosciuk preceded him in death. They were married 62 years, and lived in Oklahoma City. Francis was employed by Conoco in the petroleum industry. Survivors include his four children; Sons, Thomas and wife Joyce of Edmond, OK, James of Haleiwa, Hawaii; Daughters, Ginger of Oklahoma City, OK, Roxane Kosciuk of Mesa, AZ; Eight grandchildren, Jessica and Jennifer Myers II , Steven, Christopher, and Whitney Kosciuk, Erin Rose and Bridget Kosciuk and Francheska Kosciuk; Brother, Norbert Kosciuk, WWII Veteran United States Army Air Corps; Sisters, Virginia Jankowski and Geraldine Hermans of Green Bay Wisconsin preceded him in death. Frank was the best husband, father and grandfather anyone could have wished for and loved his family. Franks education was in chemical engineering and organic chemistry. He was employed in the petroleum industry for 36 years. He graduated from St. Norberts College and attended the University of Wisconsin, The University of Washington, and Case Institute. Frank joined the US Army Air Corps after graduation from college. He commanded the 7th Photo Technical and Reconnaissance G.R.P. in the China- Burma- India- CBI Theater in WW II. He was involved in the development of aerial colored cameras with the 7th Photo Technical Group. He joined the Air Force Reserve, and as an Air Force Reserve officer was recalled in 1951 to Korea as a Lt. Colonel which he held during WW II. He graduated from Shell Research and Product School in New York in 1947 until 1963 then joined Conoco Technical Services Research in Ponca City, OK. He became a manager of Industrial Products Division of Conoco Technical Services. Frank was an active member of the American Society of Lubrication Engineers, The Chemical Engineers, The National Grease Institute, The Society of Automotive Engineers (which he was a chairman of the Mid Continent Section for 40 years), American Managers Association, Lt. Colonel in the Air Force Associations. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, life member of the American Legion, and life member of the Disabled Veterans of America. Francis was active in Civic Clubs, the Optimist Club, and Village Kiwanis Club (18 years). Frank served on the Village City Council and Mayor from 1994-95. Francis was a piano musician, including jazz guitar, and Hawaiian Steel Guitar throughout his life. He loved professional photography and took pictures at family activities and important events. Frank was a member of St. Eugene Catholic Parish, active in the charismatic movement and Eucharistic Minister with his wife Jeri.
