Frank Charles Boynton, born January 23, 1932, was the son of Frank Hampton and Florence Boynton. Frank grew up in Oklahoma City, graduated from Central High School, joined the US Navy and served on the USS Tingey from 1951 to 1954 during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged and attended Oklahoma City University, where he obtained his law degree with a minor in accounting. Frank married Lena Rose Gilbert and together they had five children: Linda Rose Boynton Baker and her husband Randy and their daughter Autumn and Randy Good and Son William (Buck); Frank Charles Boynton II and his wife Cheryl; Elizabeth Louise Boynton Weldon and her husband David and their son Mat; Betty Ladon Boynton Schrader and her husband David and their daughters Nikki and David Gill, and Shellie and Rahd Ramanzadeh; and Kyle Lanas Boynton and his wife Dana and their daughters Ashlee and Jon Oman and Lacee Boynton. He enjoyed his great grandchildren Gage and Grant Gill; Brinley Oman; Ahdizen and Ahyvah Ramanzadeh; Sydnee and Kynzee Boynton. He was a member of Council Road Baptist Church and enjoyed his Sunday School class. He loved to read the Lord's Word, fishing with his hero, dining with his brother Chris to catch up on family events, going to Navy reunions and girl's fast pitch softball. He loved God most of all. He was a hard worker and a great father to his family by example. He cherished relationships with his family and friends. He loved and cared for his wife Lena and his family with dignity and grace. Frank lived on this earth eighty years and nine days and he is now in Heaven with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Frank Hampton and Florence Boynton; his wife Lena; sister Dorothy Boynton Shaw and her husband John; and brother Paul Boynton. He is survived by a host of family and friends that he will "See in the funny papers". Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 3 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 4m 2012 at Smith & Kernke. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery.
