Francis Gleason McGuire III Francis Gleason McGuire III, "Frank" 12/29/1946 – 10/3/2021 Frank McGuire was born December 29th, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was raised in Oklahoma City, where he attended Christ the King Catholic School and soon met his best friend, soul mate and wife of 53 years, Dana. The two were married on June 28, 1968. He graduated from Bishop McGuiness where he lettered in football and baseball. After high school, Frank attended the University of Oklahoma where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and served as President and Rush Chairman. He received degrees in Finance and Accounting. Upon graduation, he entered the Army Reserves. Frank began his career has a stockbroker at Dempsey Tegeler. He later went on to form his own firm, Park Avenue Securities with two of his colleagues, as well as several other ventures within the industry. He was an active stock member at Quail Creek Golf & Country Club where he served on the Board of Directors and as President and enjoyed playing golf and spending time with their friends. Frank was a charismatic storyteller. He was often known to tell the same stories more than once, but his enthusiasm and infectious laugh brought you right back in. He was also a "master" chef with the keen ability to make every recipe uniquely his own. Frank loved the outdoors. You could often find him golfing, fishing, bird hunting or working on his vegetable garden. Traveling was a priority for Frank and Dana. Their fondest memories include summers at Grand Lake, their home in Scottsdale and last-minute trips to Las Vegas and California. An avid sports fan, Frank enjoyed cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and his beloved Sooners. He never missed a game and often ended phone calls with simply "Boomer Sooner". Nothing made Frank more proud than his three children and five grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Gleason McGuire II and Maxine McGuire; sister, Judy Konen; son, Kevin McGuire; father-in-law, Sidney Davidoff; and mother-in-law, Patricia Davidoff. He is survived by Dana McGuire, his "Rosanne" and loving wife of 53 years; sister Susie Smith; sister, Sally Bourgeois; daughter, Christi Turrentine; and her husband Brent, daughter, Caroline Harris and her fiancé Vincent Matteson, son Christopher McGuire and his wife Rachel and five grandsons; Max, Beau, Rip, Hank and Nate. Viewing will be Tuesday, October 5th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm and Wednesday, October 6th from 10:00am until 3:00pm at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home, 14624 N. May Ave.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8005 Dorset Drive, Thursday, October 7th, 2021 at 1pm.
