Freida N. Dailey was born October 1, 1927, in Pecan Gap, Texas, to Ray and Jessie Smiley. At the age of 5, she moved with her family to Waco, Texas. She was educated in the Waco School System where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Ernest L. Dailey, on January 1, 1947. They had many adventures together in Waco, Kanorado, Kansas, Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, and Houston, Texas. Since 1964, they have lived in Oklahoma City and have loved it. As a family of four, they went camping, water skiing, snow skiing, staying at "Dude Ranches" and traveling to many places. Freida was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ernest L. Dailey, her son, Paul Joseph Dailey, her parents, brother, Adrian Smiley and wife Ruth, brother-in-law, Marshal Dailey and wife Martha Lou, sister, Dorothy Rickets and husband Bill. She is survived by her son, Ernest L. "Larry" Dailey Jr. and many nieces and nephews. She was an active member of Northwest Baptist Church since 1967, where she was special events chairman for many years and always said, "The joy of Christian Service is more service". Freida was active in may civic organizations and served as president of the Hospitality Club, Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, Red Bud Women's Club, La Hunta Book Club, Ladies Music Club, Blue Flower Garden Club, PEO Chapter A-1, and Clubettes and was a founding member of Dale Rogers "Aid to Individual Development". She loved being part of several bridge groups. Frieda had a great love for art and was herself a true artist. She said no matter which season God called her home, in will be just the perfect time and she was called home on April 30, 2019. She loved all the seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. She loved her many friends in a special way, "because each one is special to me." A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Northwest Baptist Church Chapel.
