When he was twelve his family re¬turned to Ardmore where he was raised and met the love of his life, Helen Lou¬ise Hitt. He returned home in 1945 and after working a short time as a welder in a shipyard in California, moved to OKC where he learned the heat and air conditioning busi¬ness. He worked for Com¬fort, Inc. and later Natkin Service Company, retiring in 1980. They moved to Lake Eufaula where he and Lou¬ise spent 30 wonderful years surrounded by terrif¬ic friends and neighbors. He loved fishing and anything outdoors. They also enjoyed pulling their travel trailer to south Texas for many win-ters, traveling with their T & O travel friends. Prior to retirement, he left his home church, Putnam City Baptist, and became a charter mem¬ber of Cherokee Hills Bap¬tist Church, leading their music program for three years.
