George David Denelsbeck

George David Denelsbeck was born June 23, 1924 and departed on December 19, 2015. He had a full and joyful life and although we mourn his death we celebrate his life. George joined the Army Air Corps in December, 1942, he became a pilot and served his country until February, 1946. He then joined the Air Force Reserves and served until he retired in June of 1984. During WWII George met and married the love of his life Anna Clara Denelsbeck, they spent a blissful and happy 68 years together until her death on December 26, 2013. George was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 4601 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He was a past Grand Knight, a past State Deputy of Oklahoma and a former District Master. George was respected, loved and admired by his family, friends, coworkers and fellow Knights. George had a long career in the building materials industry. He is survived by his children and their spouses Ron and June Denelsbeck, Don and Marie Denelsbeck, Jo Ann and John Rohrbacker. He had six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Visitation will be held from 11am-5pm with an Evening Prayer Service at 5pm on Tuesday, December 29th at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home 1401 NW 23rd. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am on Wednesday, December 30th at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 1901 NW 18th, interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center of Family Love, 635 West Texas Avenue, Okarche, OK 73762.
