Georgia Sue Whitten

Georgia Sue Whitten, "Susie", was born to Richard and Betty Eaton in Pratt, KS on January 26, 1944. Susie graduated from Pratt High and was a proud Greenback. Her family moved to Wichita, KS where she married and had 3 children. Oklahoma City became her permanent home in 1975. Susie is preceded in death by her parents; her only son, Brooks Baker; and sons-in-law, Donnie and Jeff Schrader. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Roger; daughters, Corie, Diane and Chris; grandsons, Drake, Devin and Sean; and her brother, Billy Eaton. She leaves behind her sweet pets, Dollie, Lucy, Lil' girl and Teege. Susie loved her family, her pets, OU Football and Thunder Basketball. She was very animated and "vocal" during OU games. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could make you laugh no matter how down you might be. Her daughters will especially miss the daily, multiple phone calls from her checking on them and saying hello. Her family jokingly called her Mike Morgan because at the sign of any approaching weather she would be calling. Susie was one of a kind and a very generous person. She will always be in our hearts and we will cherish the good memories and laughs. She is relaxing in Heaven now with her son and those who went home before her. We know she is looking down on us and still protecting us. A Visitiaton will be held from 9am - 8pm on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Smith & Kernke. A Celebration of her life will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Smith & Kernke Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Central Oklahoma Humane Society.
