Geraldine Williams

Geraldine Williams, known to all as Jerry, went to live in the light of Heaven on April 10th, 2025. Jerry was born on September 13th, 1926 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Ida and Henry Marshall. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1928 where Jerry remained until her death. She attended Gatewood Elementary School, Harding Junior High and The Hockaday School in Dallas where she graduated from high school. She attended the University of Oklahoma earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Jerry was an active member of Chi Omega sorority in which she stayed active many decades after leaving college. While at OU, she met a Naval Air Cadet stationed in Norman. P.M. Williams was the love of her life and their marriage in 1947 lasted until his death in 2007.

Jerry joined St. John’s Episcopal Church in Norman in the early 1950’s and then St. John’s Episcopal Church upon moving back to OKC in 1953. Always active in the church community, Jerry served on the vestry, St. John’s School Board of Directors and a myriad other activities. Her devotion to the Altar Guild of both St. John’s and All Souls' Episcopal Church spanned over 50 years of service including multiple stints as Head Mistress.

Her love of sewing and bridge gave her the gift of life-long friends. Her love of cooking and traveling nurtured her soul but it was her love of fly fishing with P.M. in Wyoming that brought her true joy.

She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Durbin of Chester, MD and Barbie Hallstrom of Surprise, AZ, and Barbie’s husband Chris Hallstrom; grandchildren Jenn Hillstrand and her husband Jeffrey Konokowski; and Jeremy Rainwater and his wife Lindsey; and the greatest joys of her final decade her great grandchildren Oliver, Sebastian and Peyton Rainwater.

Services will be held at All Souls' Episcopal Church on May 2nd at 10:00 AM in the St. Mary's Chapel. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Altar Guild of All Souls' would make her heart sing.
