A Celebration of Life: Bill Harrison spent his life being in love with life. He was a great anchor and pillar for his family - always offering advice. Bill was born is Dobbs Ferry, NY on April 7, 1939. He passed away 10/22/2012 after complications with surgery getting ready for a battle with esophageal cancer. He attended Hackly Prep School in Terrytown, NY and Duke University. Bill found his true calling in the restaurant and bar business. He had many restaurants and bars but will always be remembered for the Brigadoon. Bill enjoyed his abilities as a restaurant attorney and made many lifelong friends there. Bill also met the love of his life at the Brigadoon his wife of 39 years, Nancy Kirkpatrick. Bill retired from the restaurant business 23 years ago then began the next chapter of his life as a world traveler. Bill and Nancy traveled all over the world including Africa and Bali. Bill was an incredible story teller and had the ability to make anyone laugh. He is survived by his wife Nancy, brother Chaz and his wife Carol, children Billy and Jan Harrison, Dewey and Cheryl Harrison, Tony and Amanda Harrison and Michael Harrison. Grandchildren include Barrett, Blake, Victoria, Lindsay, Allie, Andrew, Mikey, and Jay, and one great grandchild. Bill made everyone feel special, as if they were the most important person in the world - especially his grandchildren. Memorial Service will be Thursday 10/25/2012 at 1:00pm at Smith and Kernke. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas would be appreciated.
