Gladys Kathleen London died peacefully on August 4, 2022. She was born on September 5, 1923, to Bill and Kathleen Montin in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She spent her early childhood in Nicaragua, Big Springs, Texas, and Guthrie, Oklahoma.Her family moved to Oklahoma City in 1934, and she attended Harding Junior High School and graduated from Classen High School in 1941. In 1943, she graduated from Mt. Vernon Junior College in Washington, D.C., and then graduated from the university of Oklahoma in 1945 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority.In 1945, she married Jack London, jr., who preceded her in death in 2004. She attended First Presbyterian Church of Oklahoma City where she served as a Stephen Minister and Trustee. She was also a member of Junior League of Oklahoma City. She and her husband spent most winters in Naples, Florida.She is survived by her daughter, Linda Bucher and husband Jeb; son, Bill London and wife Coe; six grandchildren, Aimee Zedlitz of Dallas, TX, Trip Zedlitz and wife Michelle of Tiburon, CA, Jack Zedlitz and wife Sara of Oklahoma City, Lucy Williams and husband Jermy of Oklahoma City, Aidan London of Fort Collins, CO, and Lauren Todd and husband Douglas of Boston, MA; 11 great grandchildren, Abigail Zedlitz, Alex Zedlitz, and Coleman Guldi of Dallas, TX, Zac Zedlitz, Zoe Zedlitz, and Zara Zedlitz of Tiburon, CA, Isabel Zedlitz and Grae Zedlitz of Oklahoma City, Allison Williams and Madison Williams of Oklahoma City, and Coby Rowe of Boston, MA.Services will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 1001 NW 25th Street.Contributions may be made in Gladys' memory to First Presbyterian Church.
