Dr. Gregory Tallmadge Tull, 51, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away 2 January 2021 at lntegris Memorial Hospital after suffering a sudden cardiac event.Greg was born in Silver Spring, Maryland, and grew up and graduated high school in White Plains, Maryland.He attended college at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, where he played basketball and received his undergraduate degree in business.Dr. Tull earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine Magnum Cum Laude at Boston University, Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He went on to specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He completed a one-year Fellowship in Oral Surgery and then completed his four-year oral surgery residency at the University of Florida at Shand's Hospital in Gainesville and Jacksonville.He spent most of his oral surgery career in private practice in Florida and the Kansas City area. He found his professional calling in academics when he became a Clinical Professor and Associate Co-Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Oklahoma University College of Dentistry in Oklahoma City.He was awarded teacher of the year his first year as a professor at OU. He earned many accolades, published numerous peer reviewed articles and book chapters, and served on numerous dental and medical boards and committees. He also was an active member of many professional organizations to support his work.He was a very gifted and talented board-certified oral surgeon who was dedicated to his profession. He enjoyed all sporting events, especially Florida Gators, KC Chiefs, and OU athletic events. He loved to spend time and travel with his daughter, Hope, and his family and friends. He was passionate about golf and did we mention he was passionate about golf.He is survived by his parents: The Rev. Sandy and Jack Tull; his daughter, Hope; his brother, Scott (Joanne); and nephews, Peyton and Brady.More information will follow as to service and burial arrangements according to Greg's wishes.Contributions may be made to The First Tee, P.O.
