Guy Nelson Keith, nickname Pete to his parents, was born on October 17, 1922 in Qualicum Beach, V. I. B.C. Canada to Hazel M. and Nelson O. Keith. He was a graduate of Eureka H. S. in June 1941 in Eureka, CA. He attended Humboldt State until 1943 when he joined the Navy and they sent him to OU where he
graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He was then sent to Midshipman School where he graduated in January of 1944. Guy married Juanita Faulkenberry, who he met while attending OU, on January 20, 1945 before being shipped overseas. He sent him to Okinawa as part of the 125th Navy Sea Bees. Upon returning from service, he made his home in OKC where he worked as an Engineer for various companies: Robberson Steel, The City of OKC1 Ideal Cement Co., City of OKC Floodway and Treat Engineering Co. until he started Grossman & Keith Engineering Co. in 1967. He continued to serve as the Engineering Consultant to the City of OKC. He retired from the company he founded in 1996. Guy was a devoted and loving husband and father. He enjoyed boating; teaching his children and grandchildren to water ski; working in his much admired yard; woodworking, which included making model boats; and reading. He also enjoyed his many hours giving answers to Juanita when she was stumped on her crossword puzzles. For 66 years what he loved the most was spending time with his beloved bride. He is preceded in death by his son, Guy, Jr. and grandson, Kory. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Keith; daughters Dianne Keeney and Becky Keith, son Kevin Keith and wife Katrina; grandchildren Braden Harmon and wife Kendra, Darcie Garza and husband Michael, Lacy Gaskins and husband Craig, Austin Keith, Kassi Keith, Karsen Keith; and great-grandchildren Kaley Keith and Guy Garza. His family and friends will miss him dearly and daily.
